- Understand the distinct roles of judge and evaluator.
- Develop personal judgment skills while practicing impartiality and consistency in evaluations.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of evaluator criteria and the AIFD scoresheet.
- Learn to provide constructive feedback while maintaining professionalism.
Training Format
Lesson 1: Introduction to Design Principles
Focus: In-depth study of the Elements and Principles of Design.
Topics: Introduction to Objectivity vs. Subjectivity.
Practical Session: Identification of design techniques.
Lesson 2: Evaluation Objectivity
Focus: Understanding objectivity/subjectivity in evaluation.
Topics: Relationship with the AIFD scoresheet.
Practical Session: Identification of design techniques and styles.
Lesson 3: Constructive Feedback Skills
Focus: Developing skills in giving competent and constructive feedback.
Practical Session: Conduct an evaluation and support it with rationale using the AIFD guide.
Lesson 4: Advanced Evaluation Techniques
Focus: Refining skills in providing feedback.
Practical Session: Conduct evaluations on multiple designs, supporting each with rationale based on the AIFD guide.
